Our Biography:

Sofia Contoguri

Sofia Contoguri was born in Athens Greece and went to Ursulines School of Neo Psychiko and Ursulines in Freiburg Switzerland.

She finished her studies In Paris where she acquired her degree of Architect –Engineer from Ecole Speciale D’Architecture where she specialized in metallic structures and  the opening tunnel of tunnels TBM.

She also studied Interior design in Ecole superieur Nationale des Arts Decoratifs.

After her studies she worked in a section of the Cairo Metro (14 month construction work under the French company SPIEB).

In 1990 she came to Athens Greece where she opened her own office in Kolonaki Athens as a member of (Hellenic Chamber of Engineers ) TEE.

1993-2000 Athens Metro General supervision of works in 16 sites as an Architect- Engineer.

Her Office with her partners undertakes the full architectural design, planning services, building licenses, lighting studies and application design.

It supervises the entire construction of each worksite until the completion of the project whether it concerns external or internal space.

She cooperates with scientists and technicians of all specialties for the proper execution of the project and its needs.

In her works are included the renovation of the Apergis hotel , the renovation of the Casino of Thessaloniki, neoclassical buildings, nightclubs, villas, hotels, shopping malls Water lands etc.

Her style is the combination of functionality, elegance, high aesthetics and excellent use.

Her innovative ideas are tailored to the individual needs of customers.

In 1991 in the United Arab Emirates she starts a construction company in cooperation with the Dubai entrepreneur Ahmed Habona. This company constructs up to 2007 villas of high aesthetics in Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi Kuwait and Fujairah.

Her works consists of the villa of the sheikh of Sharjah 2,700m².

Simultaneously in 1993 she undertakes as construction manager 16 sites of the Athens Metro as an Architect Engineer up to the year 2000.

In 1997 she is awarded as female Architect of the year.

In 1998 she is awarded a plaque as the best engineer in a major work in a European construction site.

In 1997 she forms Mega Home Design s.a. construction company in Elliniko Athens Greece which does construction works, renovations and restorations of historic buildings, both in their general & specialized form and in the decoration and licensing and legalization (legalization of Mikrolimano-beachfront restaurants).

Mega Home Design is active up to 2008 in Greece, Holland, Belgium and Egypt.

From 2008 onwards it transfers her offices to Glyfada maintaining  the same business activity up until today.

She has occupied in the press pages frequently and she has given interviews in the radio and television.

With 30 years experience she offers excellent quality work aesthetics and professional consistency.

Spyros Contoguris

Spyros was born in Athens Greece where he went to Saint Lawrence College school.

He studied Architecture in Southbank University in London up to 2005.

He worked from 2005 up to 2007 in Adrian Johnsons naval architects office in London designing yachts and from 2008 in Sofia Contoguri’s office as a partner dealing with Urban planning licenses, arbitrage legalizations, store licenses, interior design and specialized decoration.
